Services We Offer

Consultancy Service for National and International Project Applications

In this brief overview, we aim to present a structured account of the support services provided for national and international project applications. Our Project Application Consultancy Service is designed to offer extensive guidance to researchers and academics throughout the entire process of project proposal development. From the early conceptualization of a project idea to the finalization of the application, our consultants provide targeted support with the overarching goal of increasing the success rates of submissions to funding bodies.

Taking into account the specific expectations and formal requirements of major funding agencies, our consultancy approach assists researchers in strategically strengthening their proposals and articulating their scientific contributions in a clear and convincing manner. This structured and rigorously managed process has been developed to support applications to a wide range of funding programs, including but not limited to TÜBİTAK, Horizon Europe, and Erasmus+.

R&D Projects Panel Process Simulation

The R&D Projects Panel Process Simulation Service, offered within the framework of our institutional research support strategy, seeks to assist academics in aligning their project proposals with the evaluation criteria commonly adopted by funding agencies. Supervised by a team of field experts, this service provides structured and strategic feedback aimed at enhancing the overall quality and competitiveness of the submitted projects.

Through the use of a virtual panel setting, participants are encouraged to refine and revise their proposals in line with established assessment dimensions. Specifically, TÜBİTAK proposals—including those previously submitted but not funded—are evaluated with reference to the following core criteria:

  • Novelty and Scientific Contribution: The degree to which the project demonstrates novelty and promises a meaningful contribution to the existing literature.

  • Methodology: The validity, clarity, and applicability of the scientific methods employed.

  • Project Management: The level of coherence and feasibility in the planning and execution phases of the project.

  • Impact: The potential value and benefit of the project outcomes for the scientific community and broader society.

It is important to underscore that confidentiality is a foundational principle in the evaluation process. All documentation submitted by researchers is handled with the utmost care, and all consultants are expected to act in accordance with institutional ethical guidelines throughout the review.

English Proofreading

To provide further academic support, the Project Support Office (PDO) has introduced an English Proofreading Service specifically tailored to meet the needs of article and project proposal submissions.

The service is exclusively limited to articles and project proposals, and eligibility is determined by the following criteria:

  • The article must be submitted to a journal indexed in Web of Science (WoS), SSCI, SCI, or AHCI.

  • The target journal must fall within the Q1, Q2, or Q3 quartiles.

  • The internal author must be listed as either the first author, second author, or corresponding author.

The proofreading service comprises detailed corrections in areas such as grammar, spelling, typography, technical terminology, and stylistic consistency. In addition, the service includes the removal of redundant phrasing, thorough checks for grammatical and lexical appropriateness, and adaptation of the text to conform with either British or American English, depending on the publication target.

Authors who wish to benefit from the service are invited to submit their manuscripts—along with any supporting materials—via the designated “request form” available through the İşTalep (BysBTÜ) platform. Supervisor or coordinator approval is not required, and all submissions must be provided in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

The service is also available for articles that have been revised at the request of journal editors, specifically for language corrections, as well as for first-time submissions. In the case of revised manuscripts, authors are kindly requested to include editorial revision notes alongside their submissions.

The typical processing time is approximately one week. For accepted papers that have benefited from this service, it is expected that authors will acknowledge the Project Support Office in the “Acknowledgements” section of their publication. Upon request from the journal, a formal proofreading certificate may be issued as confirmation of language support.

Note: If a manuscript is returned with a rejection or a revision decision that extends beyond language-related issues, the same version of the manuscript will not be eligible for a second round of proofreading through this service.
